Roye originally chose Penn State over Maryland in a bit of a surprise. The Penn State coaches had no idea he was committing to them ahead of time.

USC extended a late offer when they hired Lincoln Riley. Roye took an official visit to the Los Angeles campus this past weekend and there was a decent chance he could flip to the Trojans.

Instead, Roye decided to stay home and sent his NLI to Maryland the morning of Signing Day.
