"I got my first offer from Tulane on November 14th. I have offers now from Iowa, Louisville, Towson, Tulane, USF, Akron, Connecticut and Columbia."
What does MacMillan think of all the recent interest?
"It's a pretty exciting time," he stated. "It's a little bit confusing, but it's enjoyable and completely different."
MacMillan plans to take an unofficial visit in the near future to Rutgers on December 3rd.
Is he starting to consider officials?
"I haven't set any official visits, I should have those done by the end of the week."
Numerous other schools including Maryland, Virginia, Stanford and California are showing interest as well.
Does MacMillan like anybody?
"My father and uncle both went to Michigan, I grew up a Michigan fan," he said. "It would be pretty great if they offered, I think they have my film. I haven't heard from them though.
"I am just looking for a school that fits me academically. I'm looking at mathematics. I want a good program with a storied tradition and to be part of the tradition. I'm pretty far from home now. It would be nice for my parents to be able to come and see me play every once in awhile."
MacMillan hails from Toronto, Canada.
"Out of high school last year I was hardly getting recruited," he said. "I came here and I think I did well. I saw a big improvement and stepped up my game."
As for when he'll enroll, MacMillan is considering January.
"I do have the option for January, it depends on the situation," he said. "I think that is becoming more and more likely."
