Lufkin, Texas cornerback Darrius Terry may not have his first scholarship offer, but he's staying plenty busy with off-season workouts and track.

The 6-foot, 171-pounder is participating in the 200-meter and long jump events. In a recent contest around the Lufkin area, he picked up first place honors in the 200-meters and third in the long jump. All the while, schools such as Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Florida State, Florida, Texas A&M, and LSU are all sending tons of mail.
"It's looking good right now," Terry said about recruiting. "LSU sends a lot. They send the most right now. I don't really have a favorite yet. I've been busy with track."
The off-season schedule has kept him from visiting any schools for junior days. Terry mentioned that he would like to visit Texas A&M again and LSU has also invited him to come for a visit.
"I think I'm going to wait a while to decide," he said. "I don't have any other visits planned that I know of right now."
Terry says that working with his team has given him a preview of what's to come this year from Lufkin.
"We need to get the defense ready," Terry said. "We lost a whole bunch of defensive players, so we're going to be young."
