Luc is a vicious prospect

Jeff Luc is a big time linebacker prospect and one of the most vicious defensive players in the nation. Luc, 6-1 and 240 pounds, is from Port St. Lucie (Fla.) Treasure Coast. Last season as a junior he racked up 125 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, two interceptions, four forced fumbles, two recoveries, and four pass breakups.
"I have been playing since the 6th grade and I have been coached well," Luc said. "I think my strengths are tackling. I try and beat everyone to the ball. If I am not the first one to ball I try and get a piece of something."

According to Luc he has 30 scholarship offers at this time. That high number amazes him.
"I didn't think, it has happened so quick. Heck, I can't even remember the first team that offered me. Miami, Florida, FSU, USC, Notre Dame, LSU, North Carolina, Michigan, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss are some of the teams that have offered. I am pretty blessed. But I know I couldn't do this without my coaches and teammates. So I give all the credit to them.
So far this spring Luc has been to one junior day event in Gainesville.
"It was unbelievable. I love their facilities and the coaching staff. Florida exceeded my expectations."
Luc, who was born and raised in South Florida, grew up a Miami fan. Does that give the Hurricanes a built in advantage?
"They (Miami) have always been my dream and Miami is all I really know. I went to a recent Miami (spring) practice and it was intense. I love the way the defense communicates and I like the coaching staff. They seem like one big family.
"But things are different now and I am open to everyone and I want to take it slow. I want to graduate early but still take my visits. I am not sure when I will make my decision."
