SAN ANTONIO – The All-American Bowl in San Antonio was chock full of signees from Clemson and LSU, the two teams squaring off in the title game on Monday, Jan. 13 in New Orleans. The matchup pins the defending champions against the No. 1 team in the country.

Rivals analyst Sam Spiegelman surveyed some of the Clemson and LSU signees from the All-American Bowl about what they are expecting when the two sets of Tigers meet with a championship on the line in New Orleans.

"That game against Ohio State was a testament to our character. That's what coach (Dabo) Swinney believes in – that fight never dies and don't listen to hype. Everyone had Ohio State winning that game. Clemson did a good job of out blocking out the outside noise and playing their game, their brand of football. They were really underdogs and they're underdogs again, but we're gonna do what we do.

"I'm really expecting our defense to be really good. They're saying Joe Burrow is unstoppable, but we have the best defense in the country. ... I know we'll win. I'm 100-percent confident in our guys."

Jacobian Guillory

"I was expecting them to win against Oklahoma and they dominated Oklahoma. I'm all for LSU, so obviously, Clemson is a very good team and it's gonna be a very good fight, but I expect LSU to finish on top. It's gonna be an offensive, defensive game. Anything can happen, but I expect LSU to win by at least 14 points."

Fred Davis

"Clemson doesn't give up. It was a great game vs. Ohio State. We made some mistakes early on, but it's not about how you start; it's about how you finish. First off, they didn't give up. They were down 17 points and then boom, they made a couple of plays and then it was 17-14, so that showed that they're not a team that gives up. That motivates me. I'm not the type to lay down when I'm losing either. It's gonna be a tough game, a real tough game, but I like Clemson."

Dwight McGlothern

"I want to say LSU, 31-24. LSU and Ohio State have almost the same defensive backs, and Clemson couldn't throw much on Ohio State so they're not gonna be able to throw on LSU. You can't just run down LSU's throat all the time. They're gonna beat up on Trevor Lawrence."

Arik Gilbert

"They crushed them (Oklahoma). I expected it to happen. LSU is great at creating matchup problems for teams and I don't think the Oklahoma offense or defense was gonna be able to match them. When they play Clemson, I expect the same thing. They're gonna find the matchups, whoever is offense is gonna win, and I know the defense will hold up. I'll go with LSU, 48-28."

Myles Murphy

"It was a very interesting game (vs. Ohio State). We played hard. I loved the way we played. We made some mistakes here and there, but a win is a win and you've got to love the outcome. It's gonna be a great competition against LSU. LSU has great defensive backs and we have great wide receivers, a great passing game and Travis Etienne can ball out, too.

"Coach (Brent) Venables is a great defensive coordinator and he'll scheme something to stop the LSU offense. I don't have a prediction now because I don't know what's gonna happen to be honest."
