LSU offers Canes LB commit

LSU has built a solid foundation at Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely over the last five years. In 2008 they signed Patrick Johnson who went on to become an All-SEC performer and first round NFL Draft pick. Johnson's younger brother Avery Johnson followed suit in 2012 and last year Rashard Robinson joined the club.
Now the Bayou Bengals are working on another Ely Tiger. Miami commit Terry McCray picked up a LSU offer in the mail and was happy they decided to extend him.

McCray said, "It feels good to grab an offer from them. I might visit just to check it out."
He committed to Miami in the summer and hasn't looked back. USF sent him a written offer in August, but he isn't likely to take a visit. His familiarity with the SEC West program is a big reason he may visit Baton Rouge. The aforementioned Johnson brothers and Robinson tell him what the school is like.
"Yeah I talk to them every week," remarked McCray. "They tell me it's a good school and my cousin Rashard does too. I think the SEC is good competition every week, but its nothing I can't handle."
When asked how solid his commitment is to Miami? McCray quickly replied, "I'm still 100%."
This year Ely is off to an 0-2 start. McCray looks to lead his team to their first win on Friday night against Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central.
