Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers added a massive commitment to the 2023 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon, as Rivals100 Farmersville (La.) Union Parish running back Trey Holly announced his pledge to the SEC West power.

Holly emerged as one of the top ball carriers in the Mid-South region after earning Louisiana 3A Offensive Player of the Year honors during his sophomore and junior seasons. The four-star rusher is the fifth member of the Tigers' class as Kelly looks to build a solid foundation during his first full cycle in Baton Rouge.

The newest LSU commitment has had a prolific career on the high school level, which has led to programs from all over the nation offering. The Louisiana native opted for the home-state Tigers over the likes of Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, among others.

Holly features a versatile, all-around style of game. He has shown the ability to be very effective running the ball on the ground, while also providing a dynamic threat as a receiver in the passing game.

Tigers assistant Frank Wilson led the charge for the blue chip in-state prospect. Holly gives Kelly and his first-year staff their third offensive commitment in the class, joining four-star Vivian (La.) North Caddo wide receiver Omarion Miller and four-star Saint Louis (Mo.) DeSmet tight end Mac Markway.

Four-star defensive backs Ryan Yaites and Michael Daugherty round out the current five-man class for the Tigers.

Trey Holly is ranked as a 5.9 four-star prospect and the No. 85 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle by Rivals. At 5-foot-8 and 195-pounds, Holly is ranked as the No. 9 player in Louisiana and No. 2 all-purpose back in the class.
