Lots of interest is coming for Akheem Smith
No schools have offered Bethlehem (Pa.) Liberty running back Ahkeem Smith. However, plenty of colleges are taking an interest in the 5-foot-11, 188-pounder. Is there one school leading at this time?
"I've been getting a lot of letters, but no scholarships yet," he said. "Maryland, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, North Carolina State, Boston College, Illinois, Connecticut, Minnesota and others.

"I'm planning on going to Boston College and Maryland this summer for camps."
Currently one school is on top for Smith.
"I'm looking at Maryland a lot right now," he said. "I've been in touch with one of their coaches and I like the fact they run the ball 30 times a game in the I-formation. I also really like that they are sponsored by Under Armor and that they are in the ACC, that's good competition. I can say I am thinking about Boston College and NC State some too."
Smith went on to discuss what he wants in a college.
"Basically I just want to get the ball and go somewhere that they run the football," he said. "If I can, I'd also like to go south, but that doesn't matter too much. I'll go wherever."
As a junior, the Keystone State tailback ran for 1,300 yards and had 33 total touchdowns on his way to all-conference honors.
