With two offers in hand, the spring has been successful so far for Cy-Fair offensive guard Chris Lathrop.

After the NIKE Training Camp this past weekend at TCU, the 6-foot-5, 270-pounder broke down where things were at with his recruiting process.
"I have the first two offers from Army and Navy," Lathrop said. "It was really the first time I had heard a lot from them. They let me know that I have a spot on their team if I wanted it.
"I'm also talking to Texas Tech. I'm hoping they offer as well because I would like to stay in-state."
Lathrop has already been to Texas Tech for an unofficial visit and previously said that he liked what the Red Raiders had to offer him. However, his brother is at Army which makes that school appealing as well.
"If I go out of state, I would probably go to Army," Lathrop said. "My brother is there and our linebacker from this last year might be walking on up there. I like it up there. My family is a military family, so I think that would be cool to be up there."
