K-State leads for Texas WR

One of the top performers this past weekend at the FoxSportsNet Texas 7-on-7 State Championship was Garland (Texas) South Garland receiver Raimond Pendleton. And from his performance, it’s no surprise that he’s already attracting scholarship offers from Big 12 teams.
“I’ve now been offered by Kansas, UofH, Wyoming, Kansas State, Louisiana Lafayette and Tulsa,” Pendleton, who is 6-foot and 182 pounds, said. “I would say that K-State is my leader now. I’m really excited about their offense. It’s a good fit for a receiver like me.”

Pendleton earned all-district honors as a junior after racking up 57 receptions for 737 yards and eight touchdowns. He describes himself as a gamebreaking receiver that can go up and get the ball.
“They look to me to come up with the big catch when it’s third and long,” Pendleton said. “That’s when I think I’m at my best. I do what it takes to get open, and then I come up with the big catch.”
South Garland returns 13 starters from last year’s team that tied for the district championship.
