Johnston returns from Tech, LSU next

While Texas City defensive back Kris Johnston is high on Notre Dame, he visited Texas Tech's junior day last weekend.
Outside of the Red Raiders and Notre Dame, Johnston is also being recruited by the likes of Arizona State, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Duke and Stanford. He will be attending LSU's junior day this weekend and is being recruited by Tiger assistant Bradley Dale Peveto.

"We enjoyed the trip to Texas Tech and was impressed with their defensive back coach and their strength and conditioning coach," father Kyle Johnston said. "They are looking at recruiting two corners and two safeties. We are excited about checking out LSU."
After LSU's camp, Johnston will be diving into his track schedule. He is a member of the 2006 Class 4A state champion Stingaree track program, and should compete in the relay events and the 400-meter dash.
"We are ready for something to happen on the recruiting front," Johnston said. "We are trying to let it play out, but we are ready for that first offer."
