Things change quickly in recruiting. One day Simeon Price was happily committed to South Carolina. Then all the sudden Will Muschamp was out as head coach of the Gamecocks and the Pensacola (Fla.) West Florida High versatile athlete decided to re-open his recruitment shortly thereafter.
He then planned to take his time, evaluate the different options and take his recruitment to February.
Then that quickly changed when he started getting that feeling about Mississippi State. He was considering schools like Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee too, but his feeling was different about the Bulldogs.
He had a strong connection with Steve Spurrier Jr., they had a strong conversation lover the weekend and that led to a silent commitment..
He connection with Spurrier Jr. played a big role in his decision to commit and sign early.
"My best connection out of all the coaches that recruited me is with coach Spurrier Jr.," said Price. "He is great to talk to, we have some great conversations and he is a great guy.
"I like how he recruited me, and that has had my interested high in them."
Price is planning to play running back in Starkville.
