Is Oklahoma LB nearing a decision

Kingfisher, Okla., linebacker Curtis Lofton is approaching the time to make his collegiate choice, but he still isn’t ready to make the call.
“I have several schools that I think I could fit in really well with,” the 6-foot-1, 220-pound Lofton said. “Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are right at the top of my list. Kansas State, Miami, Notre Dame and Tulsa are the others I am looking at.”

Lofton has scholarship offers from the Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Tulsa.
“I am hoping to be comfortable enough with my choice to have it over with before the season starts this fall,” he said. “If I’m just not 100 percent, then I won’t do it. I’ll wait and take some visits if I need to.”
Lofton is the nation’s No. 4 rated inside linebacker in the latest Rivals.com rankings. He also is the No. 55 rated overall player in the Rivals100.
“I want to focus on football this fall and have a good season,” he said. “I want to try and have a better year than last year.”
Last year, Lofton recorded 187 tackles and earned all-state honors.
