Illinois offers New Jersey ATH

Brandon Napoleon has been receiving a lot of publicity lately and for good reason.
The 6-foot, 175-pound athlete from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep is picking up offers and seeing the level of interest he's receiving from colleges increase in a big way.

Napoleon recently came out with his top five schools. That list includes North Carolina, Rutgers, Indiana, Virginia Tech and Michigan, in that order.
Now he admits his most recent offer could shake things up yet again.
"Illinois offered me just now actually," Napoleon explained. "They offered me as a defensive back."
The Illini have had their eyes on Napoleon for a little while now and they just started to turn up the heat.
"They came to see me and a few other players recently and that was the first time I had seen them in person," Napoleon explained. "They just told me to call them so I did and they offered."
While the versatile athlete has never visited the Big Ten school he has heard great things about them from a pretty good source, as far as Napoleon is concerned.
"When my dad was playing he took a visit out there," he explained. "He said they have a beautiful campus so I want to try to get out there. I don't know when it will happen, though."
Napoleon said coaches from North Carolina, his current leader, were at the school on Friday.
