Huskers are next for Thomas

Things are really starting to pile up in the scholarship offer category for La Marque, Texas safety James Thomas. The 6-foot, 170-pounder picked up a new one recently from yet another Big 12 school.
Several schools have been by the school, but it was Nebraska who gave him the next offer to go along with Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech.

"It sounds good to me," Thomas said. "They've got a good defense at Nebraska. I might fit in with them really well."
Even though Thomas is excited about each offer, no team is leading the way.
"Not really," Thomas said about having favorites. "I'm still treating everybody the same. I'm trying to stay healthy and I've got a football season to get ready for."
After visiting several schools during the spring (Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, and Oklahoma State), there doesn't look to be any other visits planned at this point.
However, with tons of schools coming by the school, Thomas can't exactly put recruiting in the back of his mind completely.
"You know, we get five or six schools a day coming bay to see us," he said. "Just the other day, Miami came down so that was cool. We just take it one day at a time. We're just trying to get better and be a state championship team."
