Houston prospects adding offers

Several Houston prospects are picking up their first offers of the year while others continue to add to their list.
In a big recruiting year for the city, college scholarship offers have been going out to several prospects who have shown their stuff in spring practice or during their junior seasons.

Spring Westfield tight end Jonathan Gimm received an offer from Boise State, while Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Iowa and Iowa State are nearing.
"I really like Boise State," Gimm said. "I think they are my top school right now."
Hightower receiver Isiah Sweeney received his first offer from Northwestern. Hightower defensive lineman Theo Goins has also been offered by McNeese State.
"I'm going to camps at Houston, TCU and Rice," Goins said. "I'm not really close to making a decision, but I really like Houston."
Defensive end Marcus Malbrough (6-foot-6, 225 pounds) from Beaumont Westbrook has recently been offered by Mississippi State and Tulane.
"I'm playing tight end and defensive end next year," Malbrough said. "As far as recruiting, I'm also getting interest from Houston, Rice, Oklahoma State and Missouri."
Aldine Nimitz athlete Michael Thomas has been offered by Houston, Boise State, Penn State and Iowa State over the past few weeks.
"I have Penn State at the top right now," Thomas said. "I'm happy they offered. I also like Stanford, Northwestern, Baylor and Boise State. That's my top five."
Texas-commit Kheeston Randall's teammate is defensive end Doran Guillory who is heating up as well.. The Beaumont Kelly defender has been offered by Houston and Louisiana Tech.
"I like both of those schools," Guillory said. "I'm also talking with UTEP, Arkansas and Oklahoma State."
