Holmes hears from Big 12

Justin Holmes is looking forward to a big senior season in hopes his recruitment picks up and already one Big 12 team is getting involved.
The Roseville (Calif.) Oakmont three-star wide receiver said Iowa State has reached out recently and even though the Cyclones haven't offered yet there is definitely mutual interest.

"I'm hearing from Iowa State right now," Holmes said. "They're really interested. They're saying they're really close to an offer. They like everything about me. They want me to come out to the campus sometime soon.
"We're basically going to schedule something. We're still kind of waiting to see how everything goes. They haven't offered yet so we're still kind of doing research on each other right now."
More interest is coming in for Holmes, who looked good at the Rivals Camp in Los Angeles this spring and multiple 7on7 events, too.
The three-star prospect is receiving letters from some big-time programs but no new offers have come in yet.
"I've been getting a couple letters from Arizona and Arizona State, a couple letters from USC and Miami but as of right now Iowa State is mainly the one showing the most interest," Holmes said.
The Northern California wide receiver is working on an official visit to Wyoming after the season and he said a trip to San Jose State is also being planned.
So far, Holmes has been offered by Nevada, Ohio, Sacramento State, San Jose State and Wyoming.
