Rivals.com’s USC site USCFootball.com was able to catch up with Herring today.
“There has been a mix up,” Thomas told USCFootball.com. “I told them (USC) I was thinking about committing.”
Welcome to the wacky roller coaster world of recruiting. Herring is still being recruited. USC still has a great chance but there is now hope for the other schools involved in his recruitment.
Miami, LSU, Michigan (visited 10-17-03), Oklahoma, Washington and UCLA have all been mentioned as schools with a shot.
Miami and USC have always been thought of has the leaders
The word was that Herring favored USC and Miami all a long, so this development isn’t a big surprise.
Herring is a member of the Rivals100 team and is rated as the 18th prospect at any position. Rivals.com ranks Herring as the number one offensive tackle prospect in the nation.
Herring is a member of Rival.com’s Super West 60 and the California Top 100 where he lands as the number two prospect at any position on both lists.
