Hedstrom set for first official visit

Rich Hedstrom should be very familiar with the latest on Arlington Heights (Ill.) Prospect offensive lineman Eric Hedstrom. Rich is not only Eric's father, but one of his coaches. Rich is an assistant coach at Prospect.
"We have 13 scholarship offers now," Rich said of his son. "We're looking at those schools right now."

"But our biggest concern is our senior year. It's academics first, football second. We beat Downers Grove (Ill.) North 14-7 last weekend."
Bach to recruiting.
"First, we have to look at the offering schools," Rich said. "Illinois, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Toledo, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Purdue, Indiana, Nebraska, UCLA, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Boston College have offered."
"We'll go to Purdue this weekend because they have a Sunday game. We will be back Sunday night. It will be an official visit."
"That will probably be the only official visit we take till towards the end of the football season."
The 6-foot-6 and 265 pound Hedstrom is the No. 11 offensive guard prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 8 overall prospect in the state of Illinois.
