Hayes close on first four visit dates

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey two way lineman Jovon Hayes has pretty much put recruiting on the backburner all year in order to focus most of his attention on his football season. Although he still has yet to set up a visit, Hayes said he has two tentative trips set for December and knows where two others will be as well.
Hayes, 6-2, 320 pounds plays on both sides of the line and is getting recruited as both a guard and a defensive tackle right now. We've always seen the lineman as more of an offensive player but Hayes said he doesn't have a preference between the two.

"I think I can play both equally well," Hayes said. "I like both positions and I think it helps me out being able to do both. Right now, I have four schools I'm real serious about and two of them are recruiting me for offense and two for defense."
Hayes said he can't set trip dates just yet because Dorsey is still alive in the city playoffs and he doesn't want a set a trip for early December when it could conflict with a semi-final or final game.
"I've committed to December trips with Oklahoma and Arizona," Hayes said. "I think the city final is December 9 though and hopefully we'll be playing in that game so I just want to wait until after our season is done. Then my first visit will be the weekend after my last game. I'm also setting visits with Arizona State and Oregon and I'm not sure where my last visit will be yet.
"I know I want to take all five but I have a few schools I still like and I haven't narrowed my list down to five yet. So I'm just going to keep that 5th spot open right now but those first four schools are for sure going to get visits."
