Hammonds adds to offer count

Little Rock (Ark.) Robinson three-star athlete T.J. Hammonds grabbed his third scholarship offer on Tuesday when the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs extended an offer.
He is just beginning to get to know about the Louisiana Tech program, but he is grateful for the opportunity to play football and further his education.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound athlete is being recruited at a few positions, and Louisiana Tech has a few ideas about where he could fit into their system.
"I think they just want me as an athlete," Hammonds said. "They'll try me out as a running back or a receiver."
Coach Ronnie Bradford delivered the news of Hammonds Louisiana Tech offer. The relationship is just beginning but Hammonds hopes to get to know more soon.
"I think he's a good person," Hammonds said. "When I go up there I want to get to know him better."
He plans to visit Louisiana Tech in March and Alabama on February 20 and Auburn on February 21. He would also like to visit Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Arkansas State.
He does not claim any early leaders right now, and he is keeping an open mind to all of his options. He currently holds offers from Marshall, Louisiana Tech, and Tulsa, and is receiving significant interest Auburn, Alabama, Boise State and Navy. He is also hearing quite a bit from Arkansas and has noticed coach Barry Lunney Jr. and coach Dan Enos at basketball games.
"I think they're just trying to get to know me better and see me in action," Hammonds said.
As a junior, Hammonds rushed for 835 yards and six touchdowns on 66 carries, and caught 42 passes for 1,109 yards and 11 touchdowns.
