Griffin and Georgia part ways

Luke Griffin has been committed to Georgia for 21 months, but just days before it reaches 22 months, the powerful offensive lineman out of Chatsworth (Ga.) North Murray has re-opened his recruitment.

"I have de-committed from Georgia," said Murray. "There have just been commitment issues with Georgia and after speaking with them last week, I have decided to look around.

"I just want to be able to take visits to other schools without being committed to anyone. I want to get out, visit around and take a look at other school."

Griffin is a 6-foot-5, 310 pound offensive tackle who missed the end of last season due to a knee injury. He is recovering well and very close to getting fully released.

Alabama and Florida have recently offered Griffin and he is hearing from Clemson, Florida State, Kentucky, Ohio State among others.

One of the top offensive linemen in Georgia is back on the market, so expect more schools to show interest in the coming months.
