Baylor picked up a commitment from one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the South. Earle (Ark.) star Gerry Bohanon is now a Bear and he plans to sign Wednesday or Thursday, then enroll in January.
"It was a very difficult decision and the [recruiting] process has been very difficult, but I decided on Baylor a couple of weeks ago after visiting all of my top schools," said Bohanon.
"Each time I visited, it just made me feel more at home. The atmosphere is so nice and the fans welcome me like I was a player already.
"The staff has always treated me with respect and as a young man like no other. The coaches care more about me developing into a man and getting a good education more than anything."
The No. 18-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country is happy to have this decision behind him.
"It is relieving to be committed and now I can focus on getting ready for the next level," said Bohanon.
