The Bearcats were one of the first programs of offer Watson and continue to battle Troy and nearby Georgia Southern for his commitment. In His Words: "As of right now I plan on going to back to Georgia Southern and visiting Cincinnati and Troy. I’m not sure which game I’ll be able to make it up to Cincinnati, I need to talk to the coaches and see which game is best. I want to make that an official visit. They’ve been recruiting me for a while and I’ve never been up there, to Cincinnati or to the North at all so I want to see how it’s different. They want to use me at wide receiver and that’s my preference so I want to give them a longer look. I want to get up there for a game and see what it’s like in a game day environment."

Rivals Reaction: Watson is one of four-star Georgia commit Jake Fromm's top targets and is coming off an excellent junior season. Cincinnati sees him as a good fit at wide receiver and he's clearly open to the Bearcats, the question is whether they can lure him away from Georgia Southern. The Eagles offer him an option close to home and he has friends and former teammates already on the roster in Statesboro. If and when Watson makes a trip to Cincinnati could have a major impact on his final decision.
