Georgia RB with three offers

The state of Georgia is always deep with talented prospects and the 2010 class has several elite running backs. One of those backs that has found his way to the top of several college recruiting boards is Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek running back Rajion Neal. Already, Neal holds three offers.
"I have Southern Miss, Mississippi State and Troy," Neal said. "I think they said LSU will probably offer soon and NC State. I've had them for a while. The most recent one was probably from Troy."

Neal's offer from Southern Miss arrived while he was on campus in Hattiesburg for the USM junior day two weeks ago.
"I enjoyed Southern Miss," he said. "It was real nice and real homey like. It was nice. I was shocked and happy at the same time because they seem very interested and they really want me to play for them. It's a great program, great coaching staff. I met some of the players and they all seemed like cool people that I could be around for three or four years."
At 5-foot-11, 192 pounds, Neal has good size and a strong frame but he still sees himself as the kind of back that can play a versatile role offensively.
"I definitely feel like I'm an all-purpose back," he said. "When it's time to dig down and get those short yards, I can do that but in the open field I can also make people miss and I can catch well out of the backfield."
This offseason, Neal already has attended the U.S. Army All-American Combine where he was one of the event's top performers, posting some very impressive numbers at the event. He also plans on visiting Mississippi State, Florida, East Carolina and possibly more schools throughout the spring and summer.
As a junior, Neal rushed for close to 1,000 yards while missing several games with an ankle sprain. This fall, Neal hopes to continue to improve.
"I want to go over 1,000 yards," he said. "I want to score at least 10 touchdowns and I want my team to go all the way and get as far as we can as a team."
