Hours after Texas' Spring Game, the Longhorns landed two commitments from top targets in the 2023 class as Aldine (Texas) Eisenhower four-star athlete Ryan Niblett announced his commitment just minutes after DeSoto (Texas) four-star Tre Wisner.

Niblett joined Wisner in Austin on Saturday for Texas' Spring Game as both came away impressed enough to lock down each of their recruitments.

Niblett is an electric track-fast receiver that is a pure weapon offensively at the 6A level in Texas. His 10.58-time in the 100-meter serves as a clear indicator of his lightning speed, something that he translates to the football field seamlessly.

Amid a junior season that saw him put up big performances, Niblett's recruitment took off with offers from schools such as Texas, Penn State and USC before landing more big offers after the conclusion of the season from Alabama, Texas A&M and LSU among others.

The four-star initially dropped a top six earlier this year with Texas omitted from his list, but eventually put the Longhorns back on after a strong push from wide receivers coach Brennan Marion. The Crimson Tide were shaping up to be Texas' chief competitor as time went on, but the Longhorns were able to come from behind and secure a victory on the recruiting trail with his commitment.

In an offense that prioritizes speed threats, Texas will be able to plug Niblett into the offense in a variety of ways to maximize his threat and potential. Lining up inside and outside for his high school team, Niblett has proved to be a deep threat with his speed and finesse at the top of routes.

Niblett joins the class as Texas' fifth commit, joining four-stars Tre Wisner, Jamel Johnson and Dylan Spencer as well as three-star S'Maje Burrell.
