Who will it be for Rivals250 playmaker EJ Williams?
The 6-foot-3, 183 pound wide receiver out of Phenix City (Ala.) Central is set to announce his decision Saturday August 24, in honor of his late father.
Williams is a senior that has been pursued by some of the top programs in the country the last couple of years and his mind is made up.
"I am committing Saturday at the school and it will be Alabama, Auburn, Clemson or LSU," said Williams. "I had 27 offers overall, and it was tough to get down to one at the end.
"The whole recruiting process started a little slow, but then it got going quickly and it was pretty stressful. It all kind of happened at once and it got a little overwhelming at times.
"It was a lot of fun overall, and it was a great stress to deal with, but I am so happy to be committing Saturday. I am ready."
When a recruit is down to four schools like Williams has on his list, you know he is a high-level prospect. The top five player in Alabama is very talented, he plays at a great program and he has great support around him that has helped him through this process.
"If it ever got too stressful for me, then I just wouldn't check my messages or look at my phone for a day or two. I really just talked things out with my mom and my family and I feel like we handled it well.
"It was tough, but it was never too crazy for me to handle. I have had some real help from my mom and my family, so it has never been too much for us.
"I am just excited about Saturday though. It is a big day for me and my family."
Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and LSU have all had Williams on campus at least four times over the years. He has very familiar with each program and he likes a lot about the Crimson Tide and the different Tigers.
It was not easy, but he has made his final decision.
"I made the final decision August 14," said Williams. "I just had that one last talk with my mom and I knew it 100%.
"Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and LSU are great schools. I liked each one of them a lot. I could see myself doing well at any of them, so it was not easy for me to pick one.
"I thought back on the visits, I looked at depth charts, I looked at wide receiver production from each school, the overall culture and I knew where I wanted to go.
Since making that decision, Williams said he has felt better. He said he has not "worried" about recruiting since and that he knows he will be "in great hands with the coaches" from the school he has decided on.
He now is focused on the big season opener against Hoover Friday in Montgomery, then announcing his decision to everyone Saturday afternoon at 2pm ET at his school.
"I am excited and I am ready to get it over with," said Williams. "Once I announce it, there will be a lot of weight lifted off my shoulders.
"It was a great process, but I am ready for it to end. I am ready to put it out there."
He has informed one school of his decision, and it is the winning school. It was a tough process for one of the top wideouts in the country, but he feels very good about the decision he's made.
"It was about the bond I have with the people at this school. I feel like all the schools on my list liked me and the coaches were great to me, but this one school set itself apart.
"The overall atmosphere and that home feeling made a big difference. I liked a lot of schools, but this school is different. How I felt there was different.
"The coaches for that school knows, so we are both excited about this weekend."
