Four-star LB Olaniyan decides to head West

It took a few months, but Woodberry Forest (Va.) Woodberry Forest School linebacker Aramide Olaniyan found the right fit. After a commitment earlier this year to Duke, the 6-foot-2, 202-pounder changed his pledge today and has decided to head to the West Coast.
"I committed right after classes around three or four to UCLA," he said. "My coach talked to Coach Neuheisel and I liked my official over there last week on November 7th. Over the past few months we've built a solid relationship.

"When I went there with my mom on the official. I knew I always wanted to visit and it spoke for itself."
Clearly the visit just over a week ago was enough to put the Bruins over the top. Olaniyan discussed the trip further.
"I felt just everything about UCLA," he said. "Talking to the coaches and players and going to the Rose Bowl. I talked to the academic support and that was the one place I felt like everything in college was there for me. Everything really fit and I didn't second-guess my visit to UCLA.
"I love the coaches as well. Coach Neuheisel majored in political science at UCLA and he's done things I aspire to do in the future. I was really excited about that."
UCLA plans to utilize Olaniyan as an outside linebacker.
"I'm excited to play the position, it's a situation where I can come in and compete," he said. "I may have to possibly redshirt and learn the position, but hopefully I'll be able to play by the year after my redshirt season."
Olaniyan confirms he is done with the recruiting process.
"I'm happy to say that's it," he said. "The recruiting process is over with me. There is nothing any school can say. I've visited all the top seven and nothing else can change my mind about UCLA."
