LOS ANGELES - Jalen Cropper did not work out at the recent Premium Showcase but he showed up in a USC jacket - and that was telling enough.

“This is my dream school,” Cropper said.

“That’s been my dad’s favorite school and I grew up watching them and Reggie Bush has always been my favorite player.”

So far, the four-star athlete from Sanger, Calif., has been offered by Arizona, Fresno State, Nevada, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA and Utah. Arizona State, USC and others are showing more interest all the time.

“A lot of schools are coming together now,” Cropper said. “A lot of schools are coming to the school talking to me, offering me and this whole recruiting process is starting to come together now.”

A standout on both sides of the ball, the four-star has a preference but is open to either offense or defense - whatever gets him on the field earlier.

“I want to play receiver but wherever the college needs me would be the best spot and that’s where I’ll play,” Cropper said.

Utah and Fresno State have been most actively recruiting him but it sounds like Cropper’s recruitment is just getting heated up.

“They’re more active, they come see me and talk to me daily and they’re trying to get me to a better spot,” Cropper said.
