Four-star defensive end Adisa Isaac has been picking up major offers in a hurry. The Brooklyn (N.Y) Canarsie star is finishing up his basketball season but took some time to discuss some of the offers that stick out to him.
IN HIS OWN WORDS…
"Most of the SEC schools caught me by surprise because I didn’t think I was going to get recruited to that extent," Isaac said. "I thought I was going to stay mostly in the Big Ten schools. When LSU and Texas A&M and schools not in my region came into play it surprised me a bit.
"I know LSU has a good defense," he said. "It’s smash mouth football. They try to go at you full speed. My connection is with coach Busch from when he was at Rutgers. We have a good relationship so I know that I’ll be taken care of with him.
"Texas A&M had my favorite end in Myles Garrett so I know they produce good ends," said Isaac. "I know their coaches are experienced and it’s a good program overall.
"When Penn State first invited me to a game I didn’t know much because I just started playing football in 9th grade," he said. "When I first walked into their game the atmosphere was really great. Coach Spencer is a cool dude. Keaton Ellis is recruiting me and we connected. He was telling me why he chose that school and the quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson has been hitting me up too. He’s been telling me Penn State is the place to be and that I’ll see that once I take my official visit. Hearing that from the players means something so I’ll take that into consideration.
"Michigan always produces good players," Isaac said. "It’s even players from my area like Jabrill Peppers. My head coach has a good connection with one of their coaches and he tells me that he’s a good guy. My coach has been telling me I would be in good hands there. I don’t really know anybody there.
"Syracuse is really on my mind," he said. "They are like the hometown school. Going up to Syracuse, I have a connection with the coaches and the players. Now every time I go up there I can talk to them regularly. It’s like home. It’s like walking into your new house. The dome is electrifying. It’s awesome. I visited two or three weeks ago and spent the night there.
"I want to hit most of the local schools like Syracuse, Boston College, Penn State, and Rutgers soon," said Isaac. "Later on I would visit the farther schools. I don’t have any dates for any of those visits."
RIVALS' REACTION…
Isaac is a big time prospect that will be a priority for many schools. Syracuse has to love where they stand right now but Penn State, LSU, and Michigan are in position to move up Isaac's list. Surely there will be many more schools to offer him as time goes on so keep an eye on Isaac.
