Four-star DB set to see Texas

It's been a relaxing summer for the heavily recruited Dallas (Texas) Skyline safety Christian Scott. The four-star defensive back has one big visit coming up that he's been looking forward to for some time.
Scott says that ever since receiving word that Texas had offer, the 6-foot, 185-pound Rivals250 member had been trying to get himself to Austin. However, transportation issues held him up. The nation's No. 8 rated safety will now get that chance.

"I'm going to Texas on July 30," Scott said. "I spoke with coach Bruce Chambers about it just recently. I'm excited to get down there to meet the campus and the coaches. They just want me to come down there and get familiar with everything.
"I was going to make it down there for their camp, but I didn't have a way of getting there with a ride and all."
Scott says no other visits are planned right now and it doesn't look likely he'll take any others before the summer is over. Barring an unforeseen early decision, he's got his eye on a few schools for official visits this fall.
"I'm going to try to take some official visits probably to LSU, I'd go see Florida State, Texas A&M and probably go see Oklahoma again," Scott said. "I was down at OU for an unofficial visit I think back in May. I had a great time down there, so I wouldn't mind seeing them again."
The summer has given a chance for Scott to relax. In fact, conversations with coaches have been minimal.
"I guess they're all on vacation, because I really haven't talked to a lot of schools lately," he said. "That's really why I don't have a whole lot planned."
Scott also has offers from Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Nebraska among others.
