BROOKLYN, NY -- Jeremy Webb’s recruitment may well still be developing. His offer list will likely grow as more FBS programs realize an immediate need for a 6-foot-3 junior college cornerback.

But Webb does not concern himself with such things. If more colleges get involved, great. If not, he isn’t going to lose much sleep. Webb has a few favorites in mind and is prepared to move forward with his narrowed list. For now, he concerns himself only with his current options.

“It’s definitely Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Ole Miss,” Webb said on Friday. “I feel like they’re strong defensive back schools. I think UCF as well because that’s my hometown. It’s pretty much those four. “

And so Webb, a newly minted four-star prospect, is moving forward with visit plans. Options are being weighed and dates are being locked in. The ASA Brooklyn College standout isn’t one to wait around for new schools to get involved. His approach to his recruitment is proactive.

“I was talking to UCF about possibly shooting up there when I’m home for Thanksgiving break,” Webb said. “Ole Miss wants me to come down Dec. 1-3. Those are the only dates I really have. The rest of my visits are going to be in December, too.”

Webb, who is originally from the Orlando area, says he is not concerned about Ole Miss’ NCAA sanctions and will not consider that factor when it comes time to make a decision.

RIVALS REACTION: Visits will determine everything for Webb, who is an impressive physical specimen. It’s hard to pinpoint a single favorite is his recruitment at this juncture, so his top four should be viewed as equals for the time being. Webb is the kind of prospect that may see his stock shoot up this season, so his current offer list is probably not a finished work.
