Former Agassi Star PG Booker headed to Long Beach State

After leaving Las Vegas to hone his game at the junior college level, former Agassi Prep Stars point guard Deishaun Booker is headed to Long Beach State.

Playing at the Nevada D3 level, Booker isn’t a player that the national attention of many of the state’s elite basketball player but he had a career that places him among the best. Leading the Stars to a 52-1 record over the course of his last two years with two state titles, Booker was a dominant all-around threat of the court that understood how to run an offense,

Attending two schools during his JC career, Booker made an immediate impact at Gillette College helping the program to a 35-2 record as a freshman before heading to Southern Idaho where the program finished 27-7 this season.

Highly productive at both stops, Booker joins a Long Beach State program that is looking to replace All-Conference point guard Justin Bibbins, who will play at Utah as a graduate transfer. With a shot at making an instant impact at his next stop, Booker joins a program that has a strong group of returning players.

Booker also held offers from U Mass and Cal-State Northridge with strong interest from hometown UNLV.
