Florida State Camp Day 3: Top Performers

Recruiting wrap: Cook is committed to Florida State but plans to take some visits in the near future.
Performance: Cook worked with the defensive backs for most of the day but took some reps at wide receiver as well. Florida State coaches urged him to be more aggressive in drills, but he shined when one-on-one reps started. Cook made a spectacular catch while playing receiver and won all but one of his matchups as a cornerback. Cook's length and quick reactions make him intriguing as a corner, safety or wideout.

DE
Tomon Fox
Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill
Recruiting wrap: Fox is particularly interested in Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia Tech. A Florida State offer could change that top three, however.
Performance: One of Friday's most physically impressive prospects, Fox certainly looks the part. He also has a quick first step and long arms that allow him some versatility when it comes to rushing the passer. Fox looked great in drills and was a handful in the brief one-on-one session. There's plenty to like about the Georgia-based lineman, who was clearly the most complete defensive lineman in camp.

OL
Navaughn Donaldson (2017)
Miami (Fla.) Central
Recruiting wrap: Donaldson is still awaiting his first scholarship offer.
Performance: Donaldson is a massive offensive lineman. He's also strong and moves pretty well for his size. He lined up at tackle during camp but could be a big-time guard at the college level. As Donaldson's footwork improves, he could become a high-level BCS prospect. There's a lot to like about his physical tools, but he remains a tad raw, which is OK for his young age.

WR
Carmoni Green(2017)
Miami (Fla.) Central
Recruiting wrap: Green, who transferred to Central from Miami's Booker T. Washington, has yet to land his first offer.
Performance: Green was one of the morning's most pleasant surprises and he showed off a nice burst and solid route running during one-on-ones. He found himself wide open on a number of occasions and made his presence known during the short 7-on-7 session as well. Green isn't the biggest target there is, but he makes up for some of that with solid hands and nice instincts.

WR
Xavier Williams (2018)
Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna
Recruiting wrap: Williams, a 2018 prospect, already holds five offers, including invites from West Virginia and N.C. State.
Performance: Williams put on a surprisingly complete performance on Friday. He moved exceptionally well during drills and was a force during one-on-ones. He's physical for a freshman and doesn't mind mixing it up if faced with press coverage. Williams has some growing to do and he dropped a couple of passes during camp. That said, he showed plenty of upside.

DE
Keir Thomas (2017)
Miami (Fla.) Central
Recruiting wrap: Thomas is committed to Florida State.
Performance: Thomas is still a touch undersized but showed off impressive power for his somewhat limited stature. He moves well as things stand now, but it will be interesting to see how light his feet remain as he adds some needed weight down the road. Thomas has his good moments and his bad ones, but the blend of strength and quickness he showed on Friday make him intriguing.
