Florida punter down to four schools

Winter Park (Fla.) Trinity Prep punter Eric Wilbur hasn't set up any official visits but he thinks he has narrowed things down to a final four schools.

"I haven't yet actually scheduled any visits but I should do it soon," Wilbur said. "I've been talking to Florida, Miami, UCF, and Notre Dame about official visits. I'll probably go to all four. That's what I've narrowed it down to.
"UCF and Notre Dame have talked to me just strictly as punter. The coaches said we could put you at safety but we could use you as more of a weapon at punter. Florida and Miami, they're still taking to me about safety. They say it depends on how it is when you come in and it depends on what you do. We could redshirt you at safety or you could come in as a freshman and probably start as punter. It depends on how things are."
Wilbur said those four were also the the schools showing the most interest along with the Naval Academy. He's made a few college football games this year.
"I went to Miami's opening game against FAMU," Wilbur said. "Then I went to Florida-Miami and I went to the Florida-Ohio game but I had to leave at halftime. This weekend I think UCF has a game at home and I'm either going to go there or Florida-Kentucky. On October 3rd I think I'm going to go to FSU-Clemson."
So is he still hearing from Florida State?
"They haven't called but I'm not exactly throwing them out."
Trinity Prep is 2-1 this season and received that first loss last Friday against Warner Christian.
"I know my punting stats up to last week and Friday night's game probably brought it down a little because they returned one about 80 yards. Up to last week my punting average was 49.8 yards. I have one interception and I'm not sure how many tackles."
