Christian Capote returned from
his first official visit over the weekend.
"Rutgers was great," he said. "I really didn't know
what to expect, and the only downside was the cold, but I can get used to
that.
"I really enjoyed meeting all the coaches and
players. They were real hospitable; made me feel like I fit in there. The
campus and facilities were real nice, too. We got to go into New York City,
see a bunch of the stuff in the area. It seems like a fun place to go to
school."
Capote (6-5, 290, 4.9) said fellow Sunshine State
native Luis Rivas from nearby Coral Park High School served as his host for
the weekend.
"We talked a lot about home and how he made the
adjustment up there," Capote said. "There's a lot of guys from Florida on
their team."
Capote also has visits scheduled for Colorado State
(12/13), Louisville (12/20), Clemson (1/10) and Boston College (1/17). He
said they constitute his top five, but declined to name a favorite.
"I want to make at least one more official visit,
maybe two, before I say anything like that," he noted. "I need something to
compare Rutgers to. Right now, it's looking real good."
