There are not many recruiting battles remaining in Georgia when talking four- and five-star prospects due to the Early Signing Period, but there are five to watch closely this weekend. There could be some decisions made by Sunday by these five and we break down each situation here.

Visiting: Miami

The Situation: This race for Marquez Ezzard is down to two schools — Miami and Ole Miss. He was in Oxford last weekend and he breaks that visit down here, so it will be the Canes’ turn this weekend. Ezzard does not plan to take a visit next weekend, but will visit with coaches from each staff, then announce his decision on National Signing Day. This visit will be crucial in his decision.

Visiting: Georgia

The Situation: Reese is fresh off a visit to Michigan, the school he has been committed to since June 2016. That’s right — the Rivals100 linebacker has been committed to the Wolverines for more than 18 months. He has visited Athens a lot more than Ann Arbor in that span, but he is still on Jim Harbaugh’s commitment list. Could this weekend change that? How tight are the numbers in Athens? Is he a linebacker or safety in Georgia's eyes? Kirby Smart only knows the answers to those questions, so this is one two fan bases should watch very closely.

Visiting: Auburn

The Situation: This one has been entertaining the last few weeks. New offers have come in, visits have been scheduled, then canceled, but this weekend, he is set to be at Auburn. Tannor almost committed to Auburn when he chose Georgia late in July. It was a tight race then, so the Tigers have definitely established a relationship with the Peach State linebacker. Florida State offered earlier this week, so the Seminoles are being considered, but the school trending the most right now is Florida, the school he visited last week. Nebraska also had him on campus and do not be surprised if a school out of nowhere pops up and gets that final visit next weekend. This one could still go a number of different ways.

Visiting: Auburn

The Situation: Many thought about 10 months ago that Auburn would be the school Walker would be committed to at this time, but it was the rival, Alabama, that Walker chose in June. Walker’s close friend and former teammate, Markaviest Bryant, signed with Auburn over Georgia and LSU in 2017, but the Tigers may have some real work to do here. That is why this visit is so important. Tennessee has been trending since Jeremy Pruitt took over as the head coach. Georgia had Kirby Smart in Walker’s home Wednesday night and Walker will be in Athens next weekend. Those two appear to be Alabama’s biggest competition right now, but Auburn hopes to change that this weekend.

Visiting: South Carolina

The Situation: Will there be a second Wonnum in Columbia next fall? Dylan’s brother, DJ Wonnum, is a defensive end for the Gamecocks, so that is something no other school has to offer. But the younger Wonnum has maintained that will not play into his decision. Auburn looks to be South Carolina’s biggest competitor at this time with Tennessee still trying to hang in there. A visit to LSU next weekend is still a possibility, but this one could be over by the end of this weekend. He is very familiar with the South Carolina staff, he is comfortable in that environment and the Gamecocks would love nothing more than to close the deal this weekend.
