First stop: Miami

All eyes will be on the running back position Sunday at the Miami NIKE Camp in Coral Gables, Fla. But some high-end talent to watch at defensive line and wide receiver is expected to be in attendance as well.
Prospects that have a shot at being tops at their position nationally like Noel Devine of North Fort Myers, Antwain Easterling of Miami Northwestern and Armando Allen of Hialeah Miami Lakes will test themselves against the very best. Throw other high-end backs like Xavier Stinson of Hollywood Chaminade and Bo Williams of Oakland Park Northeast and you have one of the deeper pools of elite running backs to attend a NIKE Camp.

These backs arrive with some very nice options in terms of colleges.
Devine, a Rivals.com Junior All-American selection, has multiple scholarship offers. Miami (Fla.) was said to be the early favorite, but there has been a strong push by Nebraska of late.
Allen has been offered by nearly every school in the country and Easterling has multiple options as well.
Stinson has early offers from Auburn, Iowa and Pittsburgh, but has a current top three of Georgia, Miami (Fla.) and Virginia Tech. He is a big, powerful back with good speed who could play either fullback or tailback at the next level.
The pool of defensive linemen also is expected to be deep. New Florida defensive end commit Jerry Howard of Orlando Jones is expected to be in attendance. Howard has the chance to show why the Gators and multiple other college programs want him.
There will be plenty of prospects to watch at the wide receiver position. Belle Glade Glades Central standout Deonte Thompson and his teammate Tarus McKinley both will be at the camp. Homestead wide receiver Alphonso Bryant also will be there.
Thompson and McKinley both have most major schools interested and offers from most as well.
Rivals100 defensive back Lorenzo Edwards of Orlando Edgewater will be in Miami and is one to watch closely. Edwards is wide-open with regards to his college decision and will travel to check out several programs later this spring.
The camp starts at 10 a.m. and will be on the campus of the University of Miami. It is the first NIKE Camp for 2006. Log on to tuned to StudentSportsFootball.com for all the latest coverage of the event.
