First and 10: Best Hands

Five-star Ridley, who stands at 6-foot, 178 pounds, is an incredibly gifted receiver who is dynamic and can make just about any type of catch. He can make one-handed grabs, over the shoulder catches and incredible playmaking receptions and make it all look easy. He'll be enrolling at Alabama in January in hopes of earning immediate playing time for the Crimson Tide, with the thought that Amari Cooper is likely an early NFL draft entrant.

WR
Trent Irwin
Newhall (Calif.) Hart
It's uncanny how dominant Irwin has been at every single event for at least two years and it's not only at camps an 7-on-7 events but he takes over games as well. The four-star, who still has Arizona State and Stanford as his two favorites, is a phenomenal route runner and he can also snatch passes when tightly covered. He can get open against anybody and it's not his speed as much as just his route running and ability to set up corners that allow him to succeed. Then, if the ball is anywhere close to him, he's coming down with it.

ATH
Ray-Ray McCloud III
Tampa (Fla.) Sickles
Mccloud, a five-star who stands at 5-foot-9, 176 pounds, is a very versatile player who can do just about anything from all skill positions. Catching the ball as a receiver is no different. It's tough to say how exactly Clemson will use McCloud, but he could make an immediate impact from the slot receiver. Paired with Deshaun Watson, the Tigers have the potential to be dangerous on offense.

WR
Christian Kirk
Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro
Kirk's calling cards are his speed and explosiveness, so his hands can go overlooked at times. That said, Kirk is able to play bigger than his 5-foot-11 frame because he catches anything in his vicinity. He has a knack for high-pointing passes and is strong enough to hold on to passes even when fully extended in traffic. Nobody will ever label Kirk as a "possession receiver", but he can go head-to-head as a sheer pass-catcher with most players in the class.

WR
Tyron Johnson
New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton
Johnson's no-play-too-large attitude draws attention his way and his flair for the dramatic is hard to deny. However, there is a reason he has developed his confidence and gained his reputation, and that is because he has shown he will not be denied the football. The ball rarely finds its way into his body. He gets his hands in front and once those soft hands touch the ball it will not be pried loose regardless of who is around.

7
WR
DaMarkus Lodge
Cedar Hill (Texas)
Lodge is a big play threat on the outside and he is about as dependable as they come. His big, strong hands allow him to fully extend in order to bring in even the highest of passes, and his flexibility and hand-eye coordination allow him to make adjustments on the fly. His length and athleticism gives him a large catch radius, but his dependable hands seal the deal.

8
WR
Stanley Morgan
Long Beach (Calif.) Poly
Morgan is about as sure-handed as they come and he is one of the more fearless receivers in the 2015 recruiting class. He does whatever it takes to win the battle for the football. He is a true competitor and he will not be intimidated as he crosses the middle or does whatever he needs to do to make the grab. He may not have the speed of others but his natural ball skills and his fearless mindset make him hard to deny for any football thrown his way. And once the ball touches his hands he is not going to let it go.

9
WR
Deon Cain
Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound four-star Cain, like McCloud, is a Clemson commit from the Tampa area. While he has a bigger frame than McCloud, he also has excellent hands and playmaking ability. He can also do a number of different things on the field and plays quarterback for his school. However, he'll likely be called on to contribute, perhaps immediately, as a receiver, and could also contribute in the return game.

10
WR
Jovon Durante
Miramar (Fla.)
Four-star Durante stands at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds and has the versatility to line up at any of the receiver positions. He makes difficult catches look easy in both the short and deep passing game and has the potential to be an immediate impact player at the next level for West Virginia.
