DB AJ Terrell

Recruiting wrap: Auburn is seen as the leader for Terrell, who is also considering Georgia and Notre Dame.

Performance: The camp’s defensive back MVP, Terrell looks the part of an elite cornerback. The 6-foot-2 DB is a versatile athlete for a player of his long stature and runs well downfield as well. He was rarely beaten on Saturday.

LB K.J. Britt

Recruiting wrap: Florida, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and Michigan are among the favorites to land Britt.

Performance: Britt arrived with a bit of mystery around him but quickly proved that his list of offers is well-deserved. Britt took home the linebacker MVP award and showed off great quickness for a player of his thickness. Britt was smooth in drills and disruptive in one-on-ones.

DL Malik Herring

Recruiting wrap: Herring is considering Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Michigan among others. He declines to name a leader.

Performance: Herring was great after first contact and used his hands violently. That combined with his quick first step made for a versatile and successful day. Herring is a nice combination of size and quickness, and mixed up his pass rush moves well. Herring took home the defensive line MVP award.

DB Chandler Jones

Recruiting wrap: Jones is awaiting his first offer.

Performance: Jones nearly won the event’s defensive back MVP award, as he made play after play during the event’s one-on-one session. He isn’t the tallest cornerback prospect in America but plays more physically than you’d imagine his size would allow. Jones stuck with wide receivers even on double moves.

OLB Tadarian Moultry

Recruiting wrap: Auburn, Georgia and Clemson lead the way for Moutry, who recently visited Alabama.

Performance: Moultry was in the running for MVP honors and covered running backs on a number of different routes. His long arms allow him to recover well and knock away balls that look like sure completions.

DB Myles Sims

Recruiting wrap: Sims has early offers from Kentucky and Auburn.

Performance: Sims has earned the nickname “Spider” because of his long arms and the way he uses them to his advantage. On Saturday, he stuck to the script, using his length to recover and break up passes. Sims needs to add muscle but has plenty of time to do so.

DE Robert Beal

Recruiting wrap: Beal has a long list of offers. Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida State seem to be the most likely landing spots.

Performance: Beal showed nice outside speed and an impressive shoulder dip. He crossed over on just one rep but did so effectively, as he left his opponent flat-footed when he did so. Beal has a metaphorical box full of natural tools and will become a better player as he adds versatility.

LB Maleik Gray

Recruiting wrap: Tennessee, USC and Florida State seem to lead Gray’s recruitment.

Performance: Gray can play a number of different positions and does so on the high school level. He will likely play linebacker in college, which should work out fine as he adds weight. On Saturday, he showed well in coverage as he stayed with much smaller prospects, even on deep routes.

LB Owen Pappoe

Recruiting wrap: Pappoe has a number of major offers, but his standing as a 2019 prospect makes projecting his recruitment difficult.

Performance: Pappoe has long enough arms to play outside linebacker. Then, his build has never been in doubt. On Saturday, he showed quickness and was hyper impressive in drills that saw him move as smoothly as some defensive backs. Pappoe is developing the reputation of a big hitter, but he showed another dimension to his game, as he looked impressive in coverage on Saturday.

LB Jaden Hunter

Recruiting wrap: Hunter is committed to Georgia.

Performance: Hunter was a bit inconsistent but was one of the only linebackers able to successfully cover running back MVP Brian Robinson. Hunter looked impressive on most reps, as he runs incredibly well for a linebacker of his size.

DL Michael Allen

Recruiting wrap: Allen has a long list of offers but has not named a favorite. Georgia, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Georgia seem heavily involved.

Performance: Allen lost a rep in spectacular fashion as he was slammed into the ground with force. Still, that didn’t define his day. Allen won more one-on-one matchups than he lost and looked extremely impressive doing so. He has nice length as things stand now and will only get better as he adds muscle.

LB Tyler Taylor

Recruiting wrap: Taylor has offered Georgia, Alabama and others.

Performance: Taylor has great length and showed a nice vertical during ball drills. His long arms allow him to cover an incredible amount of ground in a hurry. He’s a bit slight, but he has the frame to carry more muscle.

DB Zane Ashley

Recruiting wrap: Ashley holds an offer from Northern Colorado.

Performance: One of the most pleasant surprises of the camp, Ashley seemed to make play after play. His limited size may hold back a bit on the scholarship front, but Ashley wowed people with his motor and his athleticism on Saturday. Ashley used his impressive quickness to close on passes that looked like sure completion.

DB William Poole III

Recruiting wrap: Poole will likely land at Florida or Georgia.

Performance: Poole had a handful of pass breakups. And while he wasn’t at his best, he still made a mark. The four-star Poole remains a big, physical corner that does a number of things well. The camp’s defensive backs coach named him as one of his favorite players.

DB Mike Carter

Recruiting wrap: Carter has a handful of offers but names no favorite.

Performance: Carter wasn’t as consistent as other defensive backs but had a couple of pass breakups. He looked quick in drills and closed on the ball well during one-on-ones.
