Evans says hes solid

MOBILE, Ala. – Prichard (Ala.) Blount three-star linebacker Jonathan Evans has had a good week of practice at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
Even though he's working hard at the event, he can't help but think about what's going on with the Auburn University and its coaching situation.

"I am waiting to see who they are going to name as the coach at Auburn," he said. "But I will probably still take some other visits. At this time I have no other visit dates set.
"I'm still being recruited by Clemson, Oklahoma State, Florida State, and Alabama off and on."
Evans said he still considers himself a solid pledge to the Tigers.
"Yes I am still firm to Auburn," Evans, the No. 19 player in Alabama said. "I am being recruited by James Willis, and he told me that he was still staying. He is the linebacker coach."
Evans said he's honored to be playing in the all-star event.
"This is a great privilege and you get to see all these other great players from Alabama and Mississippi," he said. "Tana Patrick has really impressed me. He is just a great person, really competitive and just really balls out."
Off the field, Evans will be taking the ACT the second time this weekend before the game. He has a 3.0 grade-point average.
