Early standouts for four-star 2025 LB Kelvion Riggins

COPPELL, Texas - Kelvion Riggins is a well-known commodity on the recruiting trail ahead of his junior campaign in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Listed at 6-1 and 200 pounds, Riggins was one of the more impressive-looking prospects at the Rivals Camp Series in Dallas.

He more than just looks the part, though. Riggins turned heads all day throughout the camp and eventually earned MVP honors at his position for his performance. And he backs that up on Friday nights, too. He was a key part of a state championship-winning defense as a sophomore at power South Oak Cliff.

Therefore, it's no surprise that several premier programs have already offered and are in pursuit of the four-star backer. Riggins holds more than 20 scholarship offers. Still early in his recruitment, there is a group of programs standing out to Riggins.

"I would say Texas A&M definitely, Tennessee, LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma," Riggins told Rivals of his unofficial list of contenders in his recruitment.

Riggins has used the offseason to visit different campuses and meet with different coaches. Finding a place and staff that he is comfortable with is important to him as he sorts through his growing offer sheet.

The aforementioned programs have done an excellent job to this point of making the South Oak Cliff standout a priority on the trail. There's constant communication between he and the coaches, which he really likes.

"They stay in contact so much," Riggins said. "They always want me up there (on campus), and they're always on the phone recruiting me."

On the field, Riggins has one focus going into his junior season: win another state championship. South Oak Cliff has won back-to-back titles, and Riggins is determined to make it a three-peat.

"We're trying to make SOC the next dynasty," said Riggins.

Kelvion Riggins is ranked as the No. 162 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle by Rivals. He is the No. 4 inside linebacker for his class and the No. 27 recruit in the state of Texas.
