Detroit WR shines at NIKE
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - There were plenty of outstanding wide receiver prospects who helped their stock at the State College NIKE Camp last Saturday. Detroit Renaissance wide receiver Sam Gaymon was one who could soon emerge as a BCS Conference-level recruit.

Gaymon caught the eye of several college assistant coaches who were scouting the event. He was solid in agility drills, position drills and during the one-on-one portion of the camp.
"I did a lot of good things at the camp," Gaymon said. "I am glad that I came. I am proud of what I came out here and did."
The 6-foot-3, 183-pounder already holds scholarship offers from three Mid-American Conference schools and one Big East school.
"I have offers from Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Cincinnati," he said.
He also is getting attention from Big Ten programs Michigan State, Illinois and Purdue, but is open to anywhere.
"I wouldn't mind going down South or somewhere," he said. "I am going to do what is best for me."
He plans to camp at Michigan State and Purdue this summer.
Gaymon caught 24 passes for 400 yards and three touchdowns during his junior season. He has a 35-inch vertical leap and has been timed as fast as 4.2 seconds in the pro shuttle. He also runs track for his high school, competing in the 300-meter hurdles.
