Dembry enjoys ECU official

Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County quarterback Danny Dembry took his second official visit of the season this past weekend to East Carolina. The 6-foot-3, 182-pounder enjoyed his trip to Greenville, but was it enough to put the Pirates out in front?
"It was a nice visit, I had a lot of fun there and felt right at home," he said. "I got there Friday afternoon and that night I went to their banquet. Then on Saturday, they took us around the buildings, I met the professors and did all the educational stuff and then toured the football field.

"At night, I was able to hang out with my host Alex Taylor. He showed me a lot of great things to do there and answered all my questions that I needed to know. I could tell the team was really close and they stuck together when they went out."
Before leaving on Sunday, Dembry met up with coach Holtz.
"I had breakfast with him right before I left," he said. "Basically he talked about how they'll give me a shot at quarterback and if that doesn't work out they'll move me to wherever I want to go.
"Overall I thought he was a very laid back guy and doesn't beat around the bush. He tells you the truth."
The two-star prospect rated his trip an eight.
"I'd say it was around an eight or so," he said. "I like that it's close to home and they showed me how everything will be if I go there. I can say I learned a lot about them that I didn't know before."
Currently Dembry has no leaders or other official visits planned. He is however considering at least one more trip.
"I might have a visit to Wake Forest coming up," he said. "I'm not sure what weekend it'll be on. They have not offered yet, but the coaches told me they'll let me know before I come out for a visit."
