"I've been getting myself prepared for practice to start up in late July," he said. "I feel like a different person. I think I've matured a lot in the offseason, gotten a lot stronger and I weigh a little less.
"I'm working to improve still. I've been working to stay low and improve my aggressiveness."
While recruiting is taking a back seat, the three-star prospect is thinking about official visits.
"My list is still up in the air," he said. "I think I want to visit UCLA and Oregon since those are the furthest schools. I may go to Kansas and North Carolina. I want to make visits to colleges to see them in person. I'd like to realistically decide by midseason possibly.
"I really want a school where I fit in and feel I can be my best. I want a good environment and an attack style defense that lets me use my athleticism."
