DE Bryant taking a break from recruiting

Columbus (Ohio) Brookhaven defensive end Derrick Bryant is taking a break from recruiting. The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder is focused on his team right now and preparing for this season.
"I've been getting myself prepared for practice to start up in late July," he said. "I feel like a different person. I think I've matured a lot in the offseason, gotten a lot stronger and I weigh a little less.
"I'm working to improve still. I've been working to stay low and improve my aggressiveness."
While recruiting is taking a back seat, the three-star prospect is thinking about official visits.
"My list is still up in the air," he said. "I think I want to visit UCLA and Oregon since those are the furthest schools. I may go to Kansas and North Carolina. I want to make visits to colleges to see them in person. I'd like to realistically decide by midseason possibly.
"I really want a school where I fit in and feel I can be my best. I want a good environment and an attack style defense that lets me use my athleticism."
