Seffner Arwood defensive tackle Torrey Davis will make his official visit to Florida on the weekend of Jan. 12.
"I talked to (Gators assistant coach and Rivals.com national top 25 recruiter) Stan Drayton and he told me that I will be visiting the week after the All-American Bowl," Davis said.
He also remains firmly committed to the SEC Champions.
"I am Florida Gators all the way," he said. "I'm not even going to visit any other schools or anything like that."
Davis has enjoyed his week in Lakeland preparing to play for the South squad in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Game.
"I've had a lot of fun," Davis said. "At first, I was iffy about coming because I didn't know if they would have the best prospects in the state here or not. But then I started thinking about it and thought to myself that it's not all about that. Sometimes you have to come to things that people invite you to and have some fun."
The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder hasn't been himself in practice after catching a cold earlier this week.
"I've kind of been sick a little bit during the week," he said. "But I can make the best of any situation."
Davis is the highest-rated prospect in Friday's game, which kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday at Bryant Stadium in Lakeland.
Davis is the nation's third-ranked overall prospect and holds a five-star rating from Rivals.com.
