Davis returns from Big 12 visit

When looking for a big, athletic wide receiver, college coaches don't have to go much farther than Mart, Texas athlete Damien Davis. Things started off with just one scholarship offer from Baylor, but two other Big 12 teams have wasted little time in adding others.
Recently, Kansas State and Oklahoma State made offers to the 6-foot-5, 180-pounder. Davis feels that other schools such as Kansas, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Houston could also be close as well. On top of that, he just returned from a trip to check out one school and liked what he saw.

"I went to Kansas this past weekend and that was cool," Davis said. "They showed us around the facilities, the practice field, the weight room, basketball court, all that. I'd probably put them in my top ten."
While he may have ten or more teams he's looking at, five of those stand above the rest for Davis.
"It's Texas, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma State, and Houston," Davis said. "Oklahoma State is a school I've liked while I was growing up. I think it's a good school and they pass the ball a lot. That's the main reason I like them."
Davis says he hasn't received much from Texas aside from some letters here and there. He's planning on attending an Oklahoma State camp this summer at one of their Texas events.
Other than that, things remain open for other possible trips.
"I haven't really thought about camps yet" Davis said. "I'm not going to comment too much on one team being the favorite just yet."
As for more scholarship offers, Davis explained that Kansas is one school he feels good about getting an offer from.
"They said they'd offer pretty soon and that's the way it's looking," he said.
