The Washington State Cougars landed an outstanding athlete when Bryan Baird (6-3, 210, 4.5) from Vancouver (Wash.) Columbia River decided to accept a scholarship offer from Washington State.

Oregon State also had strong interest in Baird.
“I chose Washington State because my family is big time Cougars,” Baird said. “I wanted to go there all along.”
Baird is a stellar two-way performer as a wide receiver and a hard-hitting safety but he projects as a H-Back or tight end for the Cougars.
The Cougars get a solid player who brings a lot to the table.
Baird was first-team all-conference and is a three-year starter for Columbia River.
