Week 8 of the college football season is upon us. Here are five wide receivers who could score big in your fantasy football leagues.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Michigan

Last season, the former five-star receiver did not catch a touchdown pass. That was amazingly hard to believe while doing preseason research, but that has changed dramatically and now Peoples-Jones and quarterback Shea Patterson have shown great chemistry. Peoples-Jones is tied for the team lead in receptions and he leads with five touchdown receptions. The usual lock-down Michigan State secondary is anything but this season, allowing 286 passing yards per game and nine passing TDs. The Spartans have been great against the run, so Michigan will have to throw the ball to win this weekend – and the Wolverines want payback in this in-state rivalry.

KJ Hamler, Penn State

This could be lining up to be a perfect storm for the Nittany Lions and incredibly bad news for Indiana’s defense. Penn State is coming off back-to-back heartbreaking losses to Ohio State and Michigan State, and it could be looking for revenge this weekend. Hamler, who leads the Nittany Lions with 374 receiving yards and five TDs, is averaging more than 20 yards per catch. In back-to-back weeks, Iowa and Ohio State have each thrown six touchdowns against this Hoosiers' defense. If Penn State comes out looking for payback after two tough losses, Hamler could have big numbers.

Parris Campbell, Ohio State

Last weekend, Ohio State receiver K.J. Hill had a breakout performance against Minnesota, but Campbell is still quarterback Dwayne Haskins' favorite target. Campbell leads the team with 43 catches for 557 yards and seven touchdowns. Purdue gave up 375 passing yards and three passing TDs to Missouri, and the Boilermakers really haven’t faced another team that could really test their secondary. With so many options in Ohio State’s passing game, Campbell should get free often and after Hill put up big numbers last week it could be Campbell’s chance now.

JD Spielman, Nebraska

Nebraska is winless and is having a miserable season, but Spielman is putting up terrific numbers and is in the top 14 for fantasy points among wide receivers nationally. He’s clearly the favorite target in this offense with 40 catches for 537 yards and six touchdowns this season, all team highs. After being on the road for two weeks and suffering a brutal loss to Northwestern last weekend, Nebraska hosts Minnesota, which has given up 11 passing TDs so far this season and is on the road for the second straight week. Spielman should be a big target again Saturday.

Davontavean Martin, Washington State

Owned in only 45 percent of leagues, Martin is a top 25 scorer in fantasy football among receivers and he’s the favorite target of quarterback Gardner Minshew in Washington State’s offense. Martin has 40 catches for 440 yards and six touchdowns this season, and he had a big showing in the Cougars’ blowout win over Oregon State two weekends ago. Oregon’s defense is clearly better than the Beavers', but Vegas is expecting a game at least in the mid-30s with the over/under starting around 66 and the Cougars favored by about 2.5 points. That’s good news for Wazzu’s passing offense.
