Clemson already has a couple commitments in their 2022 class but they just added another important piece in Rivals250 wide receiver Adam Randall. The Myrtle Beach, S.C. star had offers from teams all across the country but elected to stay in-state and play for Dabo Swinney’s squad.

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

“I decided to pick the Tigers because coach Grisham and I have a really good relationship and they've shown me a lot of love throughout this recruiting process,” Randall said. “They've had a great program over the last decade and that made it easier for me to make this decision.

“Hopefully I can go up there and make an impact sooner rather than later,” he said. “They have a good tradition with receivers like DeAndre Hopkins, Justyn Ross, and Tee Higgins. With guys like that, they throw the ball around a lot. Hopefully I can be their next big receiver.

“The coaches said they can move me around because of my skillset and what I can do,” said Randall. “I can run from the slot position or the outside position. They're primarily looking at me to play the outside position but if I can get the offense down I could play all the positions.

“Everybody is a family up there and everybody cares about one another,” he said. “When I was up there as a 9th grader and a nobody they still showed me love and showed me that they cared about me and that meant a lot.

“Those recruits reached out to me to try to recruit me and showed me love,” Randall said. “Some of the other guys that haven't committed yet have also reached out to me. We have a lot of good players in South Carolina and hopefully we can get a couple of them like Jaleel Skinner and Jeadyn Lukus.”

RIVALS' REACTION...

Randall brings a lot to the table as a receiver and he should be able to help the Tigers continue to be one of the nation’s most explosive offenses. He runs crisp routes and does a good job getting separation, especially on deep routes. Randall has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field and he can be very dangerous when running slant routes and catching the ball with room to run. Randall is the second in-state commitment for Clemson in the 2022 cycle and he probably won’t be the last. There are a number of highly rated prospects in South Carolina for the 2022 cycle and Clemson is in great position for a few of them. Look for Randall to try to recruit some other standouts to join him. Last season, Randall scored nine touchdowns on 46 receptions while asking up over 1,000 yards.
